Lily Klebanoff Blake

Lily Klebanoff Blake has over 20 years of experience working in emerging markets. Currently, she is the President of Klebanoff International, a business consultancy focused on the countries of the Former Soviet Union and China. Prior to that, Lily was the Executive Director of the American Medical Consortium, which facilitated entry of Fortune 500 companies (Colgate-Palmolive, Hewlett Packard, Pfizer, and Amoco) into the Soviet market.

Her expertise is built upon a career of working with companies representing a broad range of industries from real estate, automotives, financial services, commodities and health care.  For more than a decade, Lily managed New York City’s multi-billion dollar Medicaid budget and held executive positions at the largest chain of public hospitals in the US, overseeing economic planning and capital budget and financing.


A former President of the Financial Women’s Association, Lily oversaw the FWA’s President’s Circle, its relationship with its corporate sponsors, for several years.  She has a deep commitment to the advancement and mentorship of women, both through the FWA and her roles at Mount Holyoke as Class President and member of the Alumnae Association Board of Directors.  Lily is a member of the Global Advisory Council of the EDGE, formerly known as The Gender Equality Project, a Swiss corporation and a global certifier of gender equality.   She also chairs the Board of the American Far Eastern Society, which is devoted to the diaspora of Jews from China who live in the US.


Born in Shanghai, China, Lily is the third generation of her family to have lived in China.  She is fluent in Russian and French.
