In anticipation of our upcoming
International Business Conference in the UAE in April 2026, the FWA is exploring the structural shifts driving gender parity in the region. From parliamentary representation to corporate governance, women are at the forefront of the UAE’s strategic growth. This four-part series provides an essential briefing on the economic and political influence of women in the UAE today, offering a preview of the landscape our attendees will experience firsthand.
As the UAE continues to grow as a global financial and investment hub, women are increasingly helping shape decisions at the highest levels of business and governance.
In the UAE’s financial sector,
women now chair 15.8% of board positions - slightly above regional averages - reflecting meaningful progress toward more gender-balanced leadership. These leaders are influencing investment strategy, corporate governance, and long-term growth across finance and industry.
This momentum is supported by national policies and strategic frameworks, including a dedicated gender-balance council, designed to advance women’s roles across sectors and ensure continued progress in leadership representation.

The Financial Women’s Association invites you to experience this dynamic progress in action at our International Business Conference in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, April 2026. Engage with the region’s business landscape, connect with influential leaders, and gain firsthand insight into ways women are shaping the future of finance.
