Why was the FWA founded and what is its mission?

The FWA was founded in 1956, at a time when women were rarely accepted in finance roles. Women on Wall Street founded the organization to support one another’s careers. Our mission is to accelerate the leadership and success of women in finance by providing programs, community, and opportunities that open doors and pave the way forward.
