Seton Hall Mentoring

FWA Mentoring at Seton Hall University

In 2015, FWA of NJ, a regional group of The FWA of NY, Inc., initiated a mentoring program in the Fall of 2015 at the Stillman School of Business of Seton Hall University. This program grew out of a desire for the FWA members who do not live/work in Manhattan, NY to be engaged in a program that is focused on the next generation of women leaders in the business world.

Activities include visits to top companies, workshops on self-promotion and networking, lunches with professionals who share advice about their successful careers, and recruitment opportunities at major financial institutions. Mentees may also attend leadership conferences and pursue recruitment opportunities.

Current highlights include a generous MUFG funded scholarship opportunity for the mentees to apply for as well as financial support for the mentoring program that will allow increased programming to benefit the mentees. The capacity of this program is limited by the number of mentors. Therefore, we encourage FWA members to consider giving back to the next generation.

With the program over a decade old, the community of FWA alumnae is growing. Former mentees are becoming mentors and leaders in the FWA. Graduates of the program land jobs at top firms around the country, including Amazon, Facebook, Goldman Sachs, Google, JPMorgan Chase, Morgan Stanley, and BMO Capital Markets.
