Description:

Careers are not neat, step-by-step ladders, and today the path can feel even less predictable. Charting Your North Star is a conversation for women at any career stage who want to feel more grounded, more confident, and more in control of what comes next.

This session focuses on getting clear on what matters most to you and using that clarity to navigate change, uncertainty, and opportunity. We will talk honestly about the reality that job transitions happen, markets shift, and company loyalty alone is not a career strategy. Instead, participants will be encouraged to think of themselves as free agents, people who actively manage their careers, build options, and make intentional moves rather than waiting for the perfect timing or the perfect role.

Together, we will explore how to define your personal North Star (your values, strengths, and non-negotiables) and use it as a practical filter for decisions. We will discuss how to assess whether your current role still fits, how to stay proactive as the environment changes, and how to make courageous decisions even when you do not have full certainty. The conversation will also cover the practical side of building momentum, including how to strengthen and use your network, how to advocate for yourself, and how women can support one another through community, shared insight, and more transparent conversations that help everyone progress.

You will leave with a clearer point of view on your next move and a short list of actions you can take right away, whether you are considering a pivot, aiming for a promotion, returning after a pause, or simply pressure-testing whether your current direction still feels right.

Key takeaways:

  • Define your North Star and use it to make decisions
  • Stay proactive in uncertain times
  • Move through fear and take smart, courageous risks
  • Build a network that is authentic and sustainable
  • Identify next steps to take control of your career direction
