(r-i): Outgoing president Karen Elinski passes the gavel to new president Simone Vinocour
The Financial Women’s Association kicked off its 2019 annual meeting at New York Life’s NYC headquarters on Thursday, June 27, 2019. The annual meeting is a time for longtime FWA members to welcome new members, the membership is informed of future activities and new initiatives, and new Officers and Directors are elected. This year, FWA President Karen Elinski (2018-19) passed the gavel to incoming President-elect Simone Vinocour (2019-20) in continuing FWA’s mission of accelerating the leadership and success of women in financial services.
To highlight some of the biggest achievements of Karen’s presidency, FWA recognized the launch of a strategic assessment, a successful International Business Conference in India, and the very successful and engaging 3rd Annual Summit: “Corporate Citizenship – A Rising Tide.”
The results of the election of officers were announced, and the Leadership for the 2019-2020 year was selected and introduced.
Here are the newly elected leaders:
- President – Simone Vinocour
- President-Elect – Hermina “Nina” Batson
- Secretary – Annette Stewart
- Treasurer – Marie Arrigo
Two members of the Nominating committee – Ichun Lai and Kimberly Williams Weinrick.
We have some exciting things to look forward to this year, and this could not be possible without the hard work, dedication, and passion of our FWA membership, sponsors, volunteers, and staff.
