Virtual 30-Minute Mentoring Sessions
Amid the coronavirus crisis and economic slowdown, many in our community have lost their jobs. The FWA wants you to know that we care and are here for you! As part of our mission, Advancing Women in Finance, the FWA is introducing the virtual “30-Minute Mentoring” program to enable gainfully employed FWA members to help those who are in transition.
Nancy Ancowitz (career coach, NYU adjunct faculty, and author of Self-Promotion for Introverts®) will kickoff the event with tips on the following topics to help with your career advancement during these especially challenging times:
- Personal branding
- Job search
- Professional networking
Three consecutive 30-minute mentoring sessions follow that will be held in online breakout rooms in which a small group of “mentees” will join each volunteer “mentor.”
If you are not available for May 1st but interested to serve as a mentor at a future date, please contact Hermina "Nina" Batson with the career-development related topics about which you would be interested in mentoring FWA colleagues.
