General Information
All listings must be e-mailed (text of listing embedded in the email or sent as an attachment in word processing software compatible with Word) to:

Listings MUST contain ALL the content as outlined and MUST be formatted like the Sample Listings as described on this page.
All listings are posted to the FWA Website to a secured area accessible only to members.
Listings will be edited to comply with the Website format and fit in the allocated space. Listings are not reviewed with the listing party after they have been edited.
Listings are posted regularly to the Website, typically every couple of days. Therefore, listings should be submitted as they become available and every effort will be made to post them to our website in a timely fashion. Listings will stay up for about 2 months, unless otherwise requested. Once a position has been filled, please notify the FWA so that we can remove the listing off the website.

Please note that the average compensation of FWA members is in the six-figures. Jobs in the not-for-profit sector will be listed only if the base salary is in excess of $75,000. Jobs in the corporate sector will be listed only if the base salary (or expected first year’s commission earnings for commission-based positions) is in excess of $100,000. The base salary (or commission earnings) MUST be included on the listing; you may, however, request that we not publish that information. |
Job listings should include the name of the organization (the search firm's or the corporation's) posting the listing, and salary information. Listings submitted without this information will not be considered for publication. If the individual placing the listing does not want to publish any of this information, she/he should contact Lynette Lager to work out alternative wording.
Listings should include an address, phone number, fax number and email of the contact person. If any one of these methods is not to be used, the listing should clearly state such.
All listing should clearly indicate the geographic location of the position, and whether there is any relocation assistance (if applicable).
Please do NOT use any abbreviations. And, please do NOT use any special formatting such as logos or borders or tables.
Listings are run at the sole discretion of the FWA.
There is no charge to post a listing with the FWA.

Job Description
The job description should include key responsibilities, that is, what the job will entail. The description should be fairly short, preferably 10-15 lines long (but we will accept longer). Job descriptions that are too long will be edited to accommodate our format. |
Job Requirement
This section should cover critical qualifications, that is, what requirements must be met in order to be considered for the position. Things such as "good writing skills, "good interpersonal skills,” etc. should not be included. These are taken for granted with the FWA membership, and as such will be edited out. In addition, undergraduate degree information should not be included as all members are required, as a qualification of membership, to have an undergraduate degree. |
Location
The geographic location should be stated, being as specific as possible. If relocation assistance is included in the package that should be indicated. |
Salary
The base salary must be specified. If the position is bonus eligible that should be stated. If the position is compensated by commission that should be clearly stated. And if a base salary accompanies the commission that amount should be specified. Compensation should not include such benefits as vacation policy, medical and other insurance payments, etc. unless there is something extraordinary about this aspect of the package. If you do not want the salary published, please state that (but, you must still include that information in the listing) and we will indicate the compensation as
“$ Open.” |

Chief Financial Officer
For a financial services firm. Position reports to the CEO with a dotted line to the President and COO. Responsible and accountable for the integrity and strategic direction of the firm’s financial and accounting functions, plans and processes. Challenges include all regulatory filings, consolidations and financial statement preparation, monthly/quarterly financial close, proprietary trading, general accounting, and tax returns. Requires: Degree in finance or accounting; MBA in finance or accounting is preferred; solid experience in GAAP and broker-dealer regulatory filings; previous experience leading finance and accounting teams is a must; currently be a CFO working for a broker-dealer or reporting to the CFO in the broker-dealer and ready to step up to this level; public accounting experience a plus. Boston area location; full relocation package. $280K-$300K + bonus.
