Financial Literacy Committee Seeks Trainers to Teach Personal Finance Basics
to Grateful Adults

The FWA Financial Literacy program celebrated the end of its fifth season at Nontraditional Employment for Women (NEW) at a graduation dinner on November 14th. At the dinner, twenty-seven women in the construction trades received a certificate from the FWA that recognized their successful completion of the program. These students had spent seven autumn evenings with FWA trainers who instructed them on goal setting, budgeting, credit cards, debt management, choosing benefits, investments and taxes.

In return, these energized and grateful students had created a thank you card that they presented to FWA member/trainers who had instructed the classes. Here they expressed such sentiments as: "$Now, My Dollars Make Sense. Thank you FWA," and "This is a much-needed class and I'm grateful to be part of it," and "I want to thank you ladies for being leaders and taking time to share your wonderful financial knowledge."
