Despite the weather, the FWA event, "Get in the Game: FWA Long Island Golf Outing" held on August 9, 2011 at the Sunken Meadow State Park Golf Course was a huge success. This event provided great fun for all whether it was a little soggy 9 holes or golf instruction at the clinic. The clinic attendees were introduced to the basic skills needed to play golf: putting, chipping and full swing. They also had an opportunity to work on their swing at the driving range with input from the instructors. Additionally, participants attended a presentation by GolfingWomen focused on using golf for business including insight on how to get the invite to play and some tips around golf etiquette. Thank you to our excellent instructors, Leslie Andrews, Adrienne Wax, Jonathan Tong and Howard Weiss.

After the golf and seminar, attendee's had the opportunity to network over cocktails and a light buffet with professionals from Long Island, and shut the place down with laughter and business card exchanges well after dark.
