Celebrate Women of Wall Street - Highlights
At our event on March 25 at the beautiful American Museum of Finance, FWA members celebrated Women’s History Month as they toured the exhibit “Women of Wall Street,” which celebrates early pioneers and honors 20th century standard-bearers. Several FWA Women of the Year were represented in the exhibit including Abby Joseph Cohen, Sallie Krawcheck, and Nancy Peretsman.

We were delighted to have with us our own Muriel Siebert, who in 1967 was the first woman to purchase a seat on the New York Stock Exchange, making her the lone woman among over 1,300 men and paving the way for women to advance in financial services. She was also the nation's first-ever discount broker and the first woman to serve as Superintendent of Banks for the State of New York. The FWA is proud to have nominated Mickie to the National Women’s Hall of Fame, the only national membership organization that honors and celebrates the achievements of American women.

The FWA is grateful to Larry Goldfarb and Compliance11 for underwriting this event.
