The FWA Annual Dinner, held May 11th, was an impressive evening by all standards.
May 11 was an impressive evening by all standards. A dazzling dais of dignitaries, a room full of more than 800 enthusiastic members and corporate guests, two inspiring honorees, two self-possessed and focused student speakers, and great corporate generosity combined to make the 2005 Annual Dinner a huge success. The sponsorship of TD Waterhouse for the cocktail reception was particularly welcomed, and Citigroup’s support for many aspects of the event was notable too, including the special centerpiece gifts from an Indian microenterprise organization. The proceeds are not all in, but we expect that—besides a great evening—the event will make an outstanding contribution to the FWA of New York Educational Fund.
