Renew Your FWA Membership Today: Greatness Can Come of It!

"It's all about the power of the people in the room. Greatness can come of it."
- Nicole Sanford, FWA member

Dear FWA Member:

Do you know what's great? That FWA enjoys one of the highest renewal rates in the industry. Why? We think it's because of the power of the people in the room. You. That's why we're writing to ask you to renew your FWA membership today. Great things will come of it. Especially this year.

Over the past 12 months, FWA leadership has spent many hours considering how far we've come, who we are today, and where we want to take our great organization. Our focus: to advance the lives and careers of women in the financial community, support organizations that support us, and pay it forward for generations to come.

Consequently, we've developed a new mission statement:

To accelerate the success and leadership of women in the financial community across all industries by advancing careers, fostering alliances and preparing the current and next generation of professionals.

The major change is that we're clearly articulating that, whether you're a CFO of a consumer goods company, a financial advisor, a compliance officer, an attorney advocating for a financial institution in front of FINRA or an accountant, we're focused on you. FWA encourages diversity, sharing experiences, and mentoring, while taking a personal and active interest in every member

We've also divined an expansive vision for the future:

To be the voice for women in the financial community across all industries, advancing thought leadership, recognizing women's achievements, and illuminating their unique contributions to their professions, companies and communities.

To begin honoring our mission and fulfilling our vision, FWA will strengthen its communications capabilities, identify more women who are doing amazing things, and share our achievements more broadly with our membership, alliance partners and the media.

This year we have a dazzling roster of speakers who have been invited to FWA including Carly Fiorina, Marie Wilson, FINRA's Chairman and CEO Richard Ketchum and the Honorable Madeleine Albright. In honor of the Presidential Election year, we will celebrate women in the public and political realms and convene a Washington D.C. conference. We are also launching an important platform centered on "Negotiating Your Way to the Top."

Don't just renew for the networking, professional development and access to heavy-hitters. Do it because this year will be pivotal in FWA's history. You are FWA's "people in the room," people who make things happen for yourself, the industry and others.
Please renew today.

Warmest regards,

Susan L. Harper
FWA President
2012-2013

Anne Izzillo
