The FWA 100® 2007 Census - Progress Painfully Slow.....Still

The FWA’s second study of the makeup of the boardrooms and executive positions of New York Metropolitan Area’s largest publically held corporations has just been released. The current report shows nine of the FWA 100® companies without any women directors compared to twelve without female directors last year. Among top compensated executives in the companies today, 10.3% are women, compared to findings a year ago of 0.7%. Sectors with the lowest percentage of women directors are holding companies (11.3%) land financial services (14%), with retail and restaurant sector as the highest (25.5%).
The FWA’s figures will again be aggregated with those of eleven other regional executive women’s organizations in the InterOrganizational Network (ION) and released soon.
