"I’d like you to meet…"
Who is the colleague whom you’d like to introduce to the FWA? Sometimes all it takes is pointing her (or him) to http://www.fwa.org/ or mentioning an upcoming program ore event. Escorting someone to an event is particularly helpful but if you can’t do that, alerting the membership committee to the presence of someone you’re recommending will ensure an especially warm welcome. Most FWA events are open to guests as well as members, and since attending three events is a prerequisite to membership, your colleague will be on the way to join.
It’s easy to list the benefits of membership! Well known are: the access to a wide network of professionals through our updated and on line membership directory, exclusive job postings, discounted attendance fees, and special member only events like Transition Tuesday.
Don’t forget some of the other special opportunities for members, especially the chance to join a committee (the invaluable shortcut to getting to know other members and hone your professional skills), the option to become a mentor to a young person, to sponsor other new members, and to connect with more than fifty thousand women world wide through the FWA’s membership in the International Association for Women
