New York Life Insurance Company will host an interactive breakfast panel for the FWA mentors and their Baruch College mentees which will feature several woman professionals from the insurance company and will be held at their corporate offices. In sharing their work histories with the audience, the panelists will help the students to better understand the multitude of career choices that the company offers and the value of maintaing a flexible attitude when evaluating job options.

Bianca O'Brien |
Bianca O'Brien, Sr. Partner, Long Island General Office, US Life & Agency, will begin the program by sharing her career insights. In 2008, when Bianca joined the management team of the Long Island General Office, she was at that time only the second woman partner in the 37-year General Office history. Her previous career accomplishments include receiving the Award of Excellence as a Top Producing Agent in the North Eastern Zone and becoming a member of the Million Dollar Round Table.
Bianca was one of the founding members of the New York City chapter of the Women in Financial Services (WIFS). In March 2008, she was elected to V P and in 2010 became Co-President. During that same year, Bianca was also named as Woman of the Year for the American Cancer Society.
After Bianca speaks, a panel of several accomplished women from New York Life Insurance Company will discuss first hand their successes and challenges as they've embarked upon their careers. They will talk about their education, job responsibilities, career paths, and what it takes to be successful in today's work environment. Panelists will include Gabrielle Brochard, Sr. Actuarial Associate, Office of the Chief Actuary; Amanda Gallagher, Associate Programmer, Corporate Information Dept.; Jessica Miklowcic, Sr. Advertising Associate, Corporate Communications; Kseniya Ryabchenko, Sr. Analyst, New York Life Investments; and Melissa Slevin, Market Management Associate, US Life & Agency.
