The FWA is pleased to present a program by Maria Semple, Principal of The Prospect Finder, LLC, in which she will share the strategies and resources for comprehensive high-net-worth client prospecting. Ms. Semple reveals her best practices for researching potential clients in her interactive seminar providing financial services advisors, professionals, and planners with the skills and strategies for effective prospecting of high-net-worth clients. Participants will learn how to:

  • Mine the internet to identify high-net-worth clients
  • Research client referrals BEFORE embarking on a new relationship
  • Identify successful family businesses & entrepreneurs in your community
  • Uncover philanthropists in your area.
Speaker Profile

Maria Semple is an experienced researcher, trainer, and sought after speaker on the topic of prospect research. As a former securities trader in investment banking, Maria knows first-hand how prospect research skills can be used to reach affluent clients and gain a competitive advantage. She works with financial services firms and non-profit organizations interested in finding their best prospects for long-term business relationships.

Maria is the Principal of The Prospect Finder, LLC, a full-service consultancy that addresses each client’s need for service and training in the area of prospect research. She has presented trainings at organizations such as Merrill Lynch and the Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement. Maria has contributed her expertise to the Craigslist Foundation and is scheduled to speak at New York University this fall. She is a member of the Financial Planning Association, the Financial Women’s Association, and the Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement. Maria also serves on the board of Women in Development of Mercer County.

Maria Semple is the author of two downloadable and interactive prospecting tools packed with over 75 prospecting resources.
