The second in our Economic Forum Series, The American Worker, will present a robust panel of experts to discuss the state of our economy and projections for the shape of the U.S. workforce. What does it mean for the American economy to play such a prominent and integrated role in the global economy? Many economists forecast unemployment numbers at double digit levels by the First Quarter 2010. This is an opportune time to reflect on our past while charting the future course of our recovery. What are the implications for the American Worker if this recovery is “jobless”? And:
  • Where are the jobs and where are there less likely to be employment increases?
  • What does the job landscape mean to the economic recovery?
  • Is there a new world order for the American worker?
  • What does this mean for America’s consumer?
  • What are the long term implications of this period of unemployment?

We have gathered a panel of distinguished experts, moderated by Patti Domm, Executive News Editor for CNBC, to address these concerns.
