Join us on Wednesday, March 19th to hear Kavita Ramdas, the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Global Fund for Women. In 2004, Ramdas was honored as Public Sector Woman of the Year at the FWA’s Annual Dinner. The Global Fund for Women gives grants to organizations worldwide that focus on women’s human rights. Since 1987, the Fund has awarded over $58 million to 3,450 women's organizations in 166 countries ranging from Africa to Afghanistan. The Global Fund for Women is a recognized leader in the international microfinance arena. Ramdas was born and raised in Mumbai, India. She received her B.A. in international relations from Mount Holyoke College in 1985 and her M.P.A. in international development and public policy studies from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University in 1988.

Ramdas is currently on the Board of Trustees at Mount Holyoke. She is also a member of the advisory board for the Gruber Prize for Women’s Rights.
