Jeannette Paladino
Jeannette Paladino, principal in Belmont Associates, a public relations, marketing and training firm, will be the guest speaker at the FWA/Baruch mentor-mentee lunch program on February 7 from 12:30 to 2:20 pm.
The interactive program will offer the participants practical tips to help them develop the important skill of personal positioning in business, developing messages that can help set them apart from the competition. Ms. Paladino will take the audience through the steps in the process that results in people being able to articulate the way in which they want their listeners to describe them.
Positioning statements are critical whether or not someone is seeking a first full-time position in business or trying to develop an internal or external message for customers, management, boards or peers.
Ms. Paladino is the winner of several awards for outstanding public relations professional, and is an FWA board member and a former board member of the American Heart Association in New York. Her extensive financial services experience includes SVP-marketing director for the Bowery Savings Bank (now Washington Mutual) and SVP-Corporate Communications, Marsh & McLennan, Inc. Some of her clients have included Deloitte & Touche, A.T. Kearney, KPMG, PwC, JPMorgan Chase, Citibank, Latham & Watkins, and the U.S. Mint. In addition, Belmont Communications delivers consulting services to several non-profits.
The program, from 12:20 to 2:30 pm is held at the Baruch campus and is open to FWA mentors and their Baruch mentees. Any FWA member who is considering involvement with one of the mentoring programs, either at Baruch or Murry Bergtram High School is invited to attend this program.
