Laura Hill, is founder and managing partner of Careers in Motion, a career management consultancy based in New York City. She works with individuals at all levels – from college graduates to senior executives – in the areas of career strategy and planning; market positioning; resume development; job search; interviewing skills; and negotiations. From 2001 to 2005 Laura was Managing Director - Client Services for Crenshaw Associates, a boutique outplacement and career advisory firm that focuses on CEOs and top executives. Before joining Crenshaw Associates, Laura was Vice President of Human Capital at Mobile Spring, Inc., a venture-funded technology company where her responsibilities included organizational planning and recruiting. Prior to that, Laura was managing director at Redwood Partners, a retainer-based executive search firm that focused on pre-IPO clients. She authored their Internet CFO Study in 1999 and conducted searches for CEO, COO and top financial, marketing, business development and technology executives. She owned her own recruiting firm which served new media and Internet concerns before joining Redwood. Earlier in her career, Laura was an associate and regional research director for Korn/Ferry International and a vice president at Chase Manhattan Bank. Laura received an MBA in Finance from the Stern School at New York University and a BBA in Marketing from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas.
