Accomplishments/Hightlights

x Create A Powerful Personal Branding Platform For 2010 And Beyond! (June 2010), Lorraine Heber-Brause, Principal, Foxglove Professional Development Advisors, worked with participants on updating and upgrading their personal brands for additional success and happiness in 2010 and beyond. “Everything you do in life - from the way you dress to the car you buy, from the friends you see, to the club you belong to, from the notes you write to the way you speak -- either builds or diminishes your personal brand, ” stated Randy Siegel in Ten Tips to Boost Your Personal Brand – so participants learned to take charge of their corporate and personal brand – and discussed the intersections and how to polish them for even more success in the future. Attendees had a great time enhancing their professional and personal self, networking, and lunching at BNY Mellon. These strategies benefit the attendees and their companies, as we are all continually representing our companies in everything we do.
x Winning Strategies for the “Panini Generation” a Lunch Discussion with Joan Friedman (Feb 2010), Joan Friedman, co-owner of A Choice Nanny, led the discussion on new strategies for caring for children and our parents all while working full-time. Attendees networked and shared both their challenges and solutions during a roundtable discussion lunch. Everyone left armed with additional resources and ideas for improving their care giving solutions and network for their children, parents, and sick loved ones.
x Parenting During Difficult Economic Times a Luncheon with Meg Akabas (Dec 2009), Meg Akabas, founder of Parenting Solutions, spoke about Parenting in Times of Restraint – What We And Our Children Can Learn From The Economic Crisis. Participants networked, ate, and became even better parents. We discussed why it is vital for children to learn self-control at a young age, learned how to encourage our children to help others who may have less, and discovered new techniques to foster selfdiscipline in age-appropriate ways. All of these topics and more were discussed at the December Working Moms Luncheon at BNY Mellon!
