Mission
The mission of Executive Leaders is to further engage current FWA members, re-engage former members, and market the FWA to senior management-level women who may or may not already know the organization.

Objectives
The mission of Executive Leaders is to further engage current FWA members, re-engage former members, and market the FWA to senior management-level women who may or may not already know the organization. It also provides an opportunity to engage past FWA Distinguished Speakers and Annual Dinner honorees and Dais members, and raise their awareness of, involvement with, and commitment to, the FWA.

Given our specific target audience, the Executive Leaders Committee implemented the concept of intimate, invitation-only events to a select number of invitees, to assure that these women would have an opportunity to network with their peers. Priced at $100 - $150 per participant, these events are higher-priced than the typical FWA event that caters to the general population of the organization and seeks to have a larger number of participants.

Since its launch season, 2007-2008, the response to the overall strategy and to the specific events of the FWA Executive Leaders Committee has been extremely positive and enthusiastic. The executive women who have participated in our events have expressed how our events provided a new or renewed purpose and enjoyment to their FWA involvement.

Committee Description

History:
Stacy Lauren Musi, of Chadick Ellig Executive Search, and Rehana Farrell of Merrill Lynch/Bank of America, founded the Executive Leaders Committee in 2007. The purpose was to establish, for the first time, a special platform for senior-ranking executive women in order to retain and grow this high-profile membership population.

Designed to engage high-profile executive women with the FWA, these events provide an opportunity for peer-to-peer networking in exclusive settings. The events are designed to engage members and prospective members by holding them at bespoke locations and focused on lifestyle and thought leadership topics.

We typically create and host four events per year, which usually includes a panel discussion, a restaurant event, a shopping event around the holidays, and a cultural event.

We are proud of the success of our Committee, and pleased to continue the mission of the FWA Executive Leaders Committee.  We see an important purpose in keeping the FWA relevant for women as they progress in their careers to the executive level.

Success Stories

A general success story relates to our event registrations. It is pretty typical that our events sell out in a few days and there continues to be demand for our bespoke and customized salon experiences. The feedback both at the event and afterwards is that the content, networking opportunities, catering and logistics are all in keeping with what matters to a senior female audience.

"Executive Leaders has given me unique and entertaining opportunities to bond with peers and discuss both professional and personal issues, and has helped me build business, make introductions and new friends." - Raleigh Mayer, committee member
